3 Studios – 1 Family

In the short 3 years I have been fortunate to be a part of the LEVEL team I have witnessed some significant changes. 60 people turned into 160. New service offerings and disciplines were created. The executive management team has doubled in size. Most importantly – one studio has transformed into three.

After being raised at LEVEL | HQ, helping with the growth of LEVEL | SJ and then moving to and helping build LEVEL | LA, I feel like I have a pretty good pulse on the unique vibe and culture set by each studio. So how are they different?

LEVEL | HQ

  • We live in San Luis Obispo, arguably one of the most beautiful cities in California, which gives us highly active employees that ride bikes, surf and play music and more.
  • The demographic of families combined with 15,000 college students means you are likely to see staff children running the halls as well as many desks inhabited by talented Cal Poly grads.
  • We have a sweet arcade machine, video production studio and really tall cathedral ceilings.

LEVEL | LA

  • We commute from all over and often deal with a little thing called traffic. We may start our mornings a bit later than the rest, but check your IM list at 8PM and you’ll find half the office still hanging out.
  • We have a staff that combined has worked at just about every major agency in the area – we have experience.
  • We have super cool concrete floors, a bar and a never-ending supply of Monster Energy drinks.

LEVEL | SJ

  • We’re located in the heart of Silicon Valley and support clients in industries ranging from Gaming to Semicon.
  • Our employees come from a wide variety of backgrounds and include many LEVEL | HQ transplants.
  • We have beautiful views of downtown San Jose, a strong supply of Nerf darts and a love for Specialties sandwiches.

Perhaps the coolest thing about these diverse studios is that although geographically dispersed, we exchange ideas, collaborate on projects and even occasionally raise a glass or two together. While each has taken on a personality of its own, at its heart each studio maintains the core values, mission and brand of LEVEL. In the words of our marketing manager: “Three Studios, One Family”.
